Craft Your Perfect Elevator Pitch in 3 Steps 🚀
Today, we’re tackling an essential skill for every entrepreneur: crafting your elevator pitch.
An elevator pitch is a short, compelling description of your business that you can deliver in 30 seconds or less. It’s your chance to make a lasting impression, whether you’re talking to a potential customer, partner, or investor.
Let’s create a pitch that grabs attention and leaves people wanting to learn more about your business.
Why You Need an Elevator Pitch
It helps you clearly articulate what you do.
It builds confidence when you’re talking about your business.
It opens the door to new opportunities by sparking curiosity.
3 Steps to Craft Your Elevator Pitch
Step 1: Identify Your Key Elements
Answer these questions to build the foundation of your pitch:
Who do you help? (Your Ideal Customer Avatar)
What problem do you solve?
How do you solve it? (Your product, service, or unique approach)
What’s the result? (The benefit or transformation your customer experiences)
Step 2: Create Your One-Liner
Use your answers to craft a simple, conversational sentence that explains your business.
Template:
“I help [who you help] solve [problem] by [how you solve it], so they can [result].”
Example:
“I help stay-at-home moms turn their hobbies into profitable online businesses by teaching them simple marketing strategies, so they can earn money while spending more time with their families.”
Step 3: Add Personality
Make your pitch feel natural and authentic by adding a touch of your personality. Think about what makes you and your business unique.
You might say:
Why you’re passionate about what you do.
A quick example of a problem you’ve solved for someone.
Example:
“I’m passionate about helping moms see that their talents can turn into a thriving business. One of my clients went from baking cupcakes for friends to launching a profitable home bakery!”
Pro Tip: Practice Makes Perfect
Practice your pitch until it feels effortless. Try it out with a friend, record yourself, or say it in front of a mirror. The more confident you are, the more impactful your pitch will be.
Action Step: Write Your Pitch
